DogFox123 1,379
Does using the Lithium batteries whilst on charge damage them? Edited November 20, 2015 by DogFox123 Quote Link to post
*The*Field*Marshall* 674
A mate has the tracer 150 led. Tight and bright ! . . I'd still rather my striker ATM, I prefer the yellow beam and that bit more width to the beam, sheds a bit more light on the run, I like to see the dog closing/working . . You haven't got much of that with these led's, although I'm sure they leave a bit more sport in the field . . Quote Link to post
torchey 1,328
A striker is always going to be the lamp everything else is going to be compared and imo theres still nothing better , i,ve tried scores of torches and lamps and you,ll catch rabbits on most but the strikers still the better light 1 Quote Link to post
running addiction 207
Ive the clulite best 50 notes ive spent in a while worth every penny but still the beam could be a little wider the white beam takes abit to get used too you don't get your quarrys eyeshine back quite as much as with the yellow beam of the Halogen Quote Link to post
paulsmithy83 567
Them clulite rechargeable had me by surprise i was out other night with my mates we was out a good 6 hrs and never died. Anyone know what type of battery is in them ?????? Love the beam on it also. Quote Link to post
Somewhereyournot 1,117
I will tell you what are the worst lamps, them Clulite lamps with a handle on like a skinny deformed carrot,a switch from a 1970 Electrolux Hoover and a Red Filter attached via a hinge, anyone who uses them I honestly laugh at them i cannot take them seriously as a hunter, the lamp is as bright as a seedy gas lamp from the 1900's and with the red filter on they remind me of a Hillman Minx's brakelight haha..absolute joke of a lamp only designed for comedian hunters ?Haha that's what I use, but I do very little with it tbh. Its reliable but generally use a mates lamp with mine as left back. I like to light up fences and other obstacles, do you run big ground without any of these or just not worry about it? Joe. feel like your holding a lolly pop stick I find lol Quote Link to post
longdog85 29
I am interested as to why you all crave a very tight beam as I like the dog to have a good view around quarry. Also the biggest problem for me with all the new led lamps is the lack of dimmer which I could not be with out . Quote Link to post
haymin 2,465
Good for you ? Quote Link to post
haymin 2,465
You say you like the dog to have a good view of quarry how much rabbits does it chase at a time ? Shourly you don't need to light up the field for one chase ? 1 Quote Link to post
Somewhereyournot 1,117
Got a dimmer on my old lamp and tbh I barely used it. Bought a 170 enforcer hid and it's tight beam but still not super tight, which I prefer Quote Link to post
longdog85 29
I fully take your point and can tell you no best . I was just pointing out that I feel a bit of view around your quarry can't be a bad thing to give your dog best chance of escaping each run without a collision . Also have you ever been out in a field having a new led light shined at you, I think you will be surprised at how disorientating the led type beam is compared to bulb type light . Have run dogs on both types of light and just feel bulb light suits my dogs better but as I have said only my humble opinion. Quote Link to post
haymin 2,465
I tend not to shine the light in the dogs eyes , I'll no more about the tighter beam when I get my 500 delivered ? ?Atb Quote Link to post
