Blackbriar 8,569
Anyone remember the series yrs ago on the lady who farmed on her own I think in Yorkshire ?? Was her name Hannah Hauxwell ? The old lady who lived alone, on an isolated farm with no leccy etc ? Can't remember what it was called, but my old mum loved it - could Google it, but I'll leave it for someone's memory.......

mackem 26,894
Watched it thought it was pretty good, best series Iv seen That ben fogle do are the extreme dreams series were he takes and gives people the opurtunity to participate in an adventure of there wildest dreams and challenges in far off places of the world real good watch them..I think it was TOMO who said life is about experiences, collecting and accumulating them, imagine an unlimited budget and the world at your feet.Fogle has came on in leaps and bounds since his first ever TV experience,he has matured into a very good TV presenter. It would be great..Were is the best place you've been Mackem and were else would you like to go if you had the time it doesn't have to include a big budget, I think the times Iv been to Nepal and India would have to be my best times and experiences n the first time in Thailand and Australia not to far behind, I'd like to go to Myanmar while it's still relatively uncommercialised and also fancy doing the camino de santiago starting from the French Pyrenees if I can reckon that would be a good experience especially after watching the movie the way. I'd love to spend some time goin through Africa but with all the shit thats going down now I'm not sure.. Been to burma mate,if your going to go now is the time as when i was in cambodia in feb every man and his dog were chatting about goingnto burma, and the chinese tourists are flocking there,i am actually over that way this weekend, going to thailand and the philippines, maybe Hong Kong as well if i have the time.
mackem 26,894
Africa is nuts. . . . in a good and a bad way Bhutan would be cool. I tried to get into bhutan about 20 years ago,i had heard they had the worlds most pristine trout streams, went to phuentsholing and they wouldnt let me in as they had strict tourist quotas and you had to be part of a tour group, havent a clue what its like nowadays but since thimphu now has traffic lights i am guessing the face of change has arrivedmin the capital.
