They have been dismantling the army wholesale for the last 3 years, no f****r says a word about that !! Honestly, you couldn't make it up. Wilf, many people have been very vocal about the reduction in size of our armed forces, particularly conservatives (even a few Conservatives too, lol). But their voices have been drowned by those shouting about every other political issue except defence. Literally hundreds of articles in mainstream media from defence analysts, former heads of intelligence and defence chiefs. I really can't see this as a bad thing. And if tomorrow I read about a Nimrod replacement and an increase in the Navy's Frigate fleet I'd welcome that too. I agree with you that this is not the fix that some seem to think but it's better news than "Hey, we're still cutting the defence budget, the army is f****d, discount on white flags".
