Popular Post FUJI 17,327
Been back on the ferry this past weekend, when I boarded I knew I was in for a rough ride when there was sick bags strewn across all the seats which the ships crew must of distributed beforehand but although the sea state was a force 8 I somehow managed to avoid using one of the bags haha,I had my Saluki lurcher Boots with me and he's becoming quite popular with workers at both the port and on the vessel lol,he's not a bother onboard which saves a lot of hassle..went on a shoot on Saturday morning which was good craic,to the pub in the afternoon for some grub and a beer although I got drenched as seems the norm wherever I go it was an enjoyable day,Sunday morning at the break of dawn we were out with the runners, again the wind and rain was present which made things "uncomfortable" but we had plenty of high octane action, some real eye opening spins and some lung busters thrown into the mix in some real testing ground especially the rolled seeded fields, dogs ran grand,we accounted for 4 although my mutt Boots only added one of those he ran superb, his first 3 runs resulted in me seeing him run two of his best ever races but with no cigar at the end of them but that's running dogs for ya and my hat was tipped to his furry foes on this occasion, called into the pub for a few beers when finished running, back to Taff's for a clean up and change of clothes, then around to another friends house for a brew and chin wag before heading back to the ferry last night,it was delayed for an hour as it had been late docking due to adverse weather conditions, the Captain spoke to say the sea was a force 9 and there would be "motion" honestly after the boat finally undocked within 30 seconds it was like sitting on a pendulum, talk about motion I just about shit myself, holy fcuk it were bad, plates smashing after been strewn all over the place from the onboard cafe area, people been launched from their seats and falling all over the place,it was the Poseidon Adventure relived,I thought life was over!! Hour upon hour passed of this shit,Boots went from being laying on a seat on his jacket to been pressed against the opposing side ferry windows in the blink of an eye dozens of times throughout the sailing,it was horrendous and gospel truth I'm sat here at home now and I feel dizzy and totally unbalanced yet!! Why do I put myself through this bollox? Anyhow,we have survived this saga..no doubt I will do this all over again soon lol..great lads, great dogs, great land with gear to run make it all worthwhile I guess..see ya all soon over yonder ? 20 Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
I used to work on boats and have never felt sea sick no matter what sea state i've been on but i sympathise with those that do, its a nasty thing for sure. My problem is that i am a sympathy spewer and if i see people wretch, smell or see spew or even think about it long enough, i'll spew me ring up. Last time i was on that ferry the smell was near the death of me..! Quote Link to post
