gwalchmai4110 1,758
had a walk out Friday with my red bitch on some new ground about two hours from my home. I picked up my mucca and his two young dogs who were travelling down as spectators more than anything! the wind and rain rattled the van all over the place on the way down and we started to think we would need a rubber dingy in order to get to the rabbits if the weather did not alter. but the lamping gods took pity on us as the rain eased up to a fine drizzle but the wind continued. we got out on the land early doors and our travels were rewarded with plenty of rabbits being illuminated by the old beam. it was clear though these rabbits had seen a beam or two in there time and they were not going to just jump onto the game carrier without a fight. my red bitch run well all things considered ( she was peppered with a shotgun last season , and is only now just finding her stride again). she managed a modest bag of 11 rabbits which did me grand as there was some great runs involved. also my mates two young dogs managed a rabbit a piece as well so that will do them nothing but good in there progression. and my red bitch also practiced her tracking and retrieving skills with a fine lump of meat for the freezer !! all in all deffo worth bundling the mutts in the motor and hitting the road. atb 3 Quote Link to post
