ha ha ha   But remember; "Books are like mirrors, if a fool looks in, you cannot expect a genius to look out"

Got a copy today...what a cracking looking book.. Not had a chance to read it, but, the images are truely outstanding, probably the best collection of lamping images seen for a long time, and quality

Bunny having a read of his script...

I totally loved the book. Even though i have not read it yet. It looks great. Anyone can write agood story. Pictures are proof in the pudding thou

That sounds a bit of a sycophantic remark, also naive if you think pictures are proof of anything. no offence.

A picture sometimes says a thousand words.

Anyone can write a story. They don't all have the decent photos to accompany it.

you mean like the bible?

I`ve got a few Darcy "higher quality" books, and they are fantastic, really worth having.

The only thing holding me back buying this is that it`s one of 3. £90, hmmm ?

I have bought a few secondhand, so will maybe hang off to buy someone else s collection.

Hope I get a chance to read it..having heard so much about the quality of the images, pictures I believe are so important as pictorial back up to what is written in this sort of book

Ive a lurcher book standing complete for almost a year, and apart from not being able to find a publisher, Ive just got NO decent images...

Got to hand it to JD he gets out and puts the hours / miles in to achieve the end result which after quick flick through book looks top drawer I ve seen first hand the gear he lugs round country to try get the lamping pics which is not easy by any stretch of the imagination and hats of to him he brave enough to get it in a book for like minded lads /lasses to read and look at and first impressions is it ll be a very interesting read to novices and veteran lampers alike will give an honest opinion when I get time to read it lol Fuji made sure it not been picked up this wkend for defo atb taffey

It's a great read,I enjoyed it anyways, loads of stories that I could relate to having lived a life of lamping for getting on for 35 years myself..likes been said the effort the man puts in to both work and photograph not only his own dogs but others too is testament to the mans love of working dogs, lest not forget here 90% of the pics he will take won't be good enough for a publication so there's a hell of a lot of driving, ferry hopping, walking and humping gear about as well as running the dog at the same time for little reward other than just being out there in all parts of the UK in the dark lol..Taffey,i'm sat here knackered man but as always I've enjoyed the craic this past weekend, plenty of high octane action,a few beers, soaked to the bone, two ferry trips one in a force 8 and the return in a force 9 (never again)!!!..no kip, drove hundreds of miles, walked MORE haha..you will not have time to read this book, I will be back shortly so leave it on the shelf until this seasons over lol..The book is class folks, if it were shite I'd say so (his dog is) lmao..its worth the coin trust me ?

Most of these lads publish themselves mate. As for images you could ask for some action shots off lads on here like Darcy has or you could find someone keen on photography to take pics of yours. You dont need all action shots anyway. Real pictures mean more even if the quality is less. I would rather see pictures included in a book because the event had something to contribute rather than look at photos of events being acted out purely to get pictures for a book...that just smells a bit plastic to me.

I never mentioned Darcy did I? but I think you know what I meant, you surely cant be that thick..but I know you like to stir it a bit. New name but old tricks eh?
