Yes Mackem, the zander is , more or less, the walleye from the States. I wouodn't fancy eating one.

To be honest if you're going ice fishing why not try for burbot instead.......and please, take some piccys!!

I just phoned the guy who is taking me out,its only -13 today,going down to -20 with wind chill,they need a prolonged spell to freeze the waters,last week was 5 degrees,the places normally freeze in feb thats why i am waiting till next month,it should be interesting,different even,yeah i will take some pics.
