trenchfoot 4,243
Give Simon Van at BASC a call. He used to be FEO for Lancs, he should be able to point you in the right direction http://basc.org.uk/blog/press-releases/latest-news/basc-expands-firearms-team-2/ 1 Quote Link to post

cragman 2,809
Had a home visit this morning for my renewal. The Officer was saying that there is a massive backlog in my area and that a cover note will be sent out when my license expires next month with license to follow. Extra checks are one of the reasons in my area. They screen all house occupants as well now. They've replaced the top man with 4-5 others who then decide who has what, so more are being refused for little things, they're not taking any chances. After seeing me, the officer was on their way to tell two others that they wouldn't be getting a license. Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
They screen all the other occupants now do they, is this across the board, or just something one force in particular has taken it upon themselves to do? Quote Link to post

I don''t know if it's just localised CC, but if there 's a house with 5 or 6 in, then they'll all be screened, well in my area anyway. Hence further delays inevitable. I don't think it's a bad thing. Tthey are being extra careful and don't want to let anyone slip through the net who MIGHT present a problem in the future. That's a tough call, Edited November 17, 2015 by cragman Quote Link to post
