Im coming up 18 and just looking for some advice really on getting a sgc. Basically im intested in getting a license in the near future but got some doubts of it being granted il keep the list short

1. I got a warning for gbh which was a complete accident about 3 years ago believe me

2. I live on a council estate

3. im quite young

At the moment i wouldnt be able to afford it as i got a puppy and only on a training scheme so.only get £30 a week but hopefully get a appreticehip i just applied for. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

The only one I see a possible problem with is the gbh ..thousands of people with with sgc/fac live on council estates , your classed as an adult at eighteen ...good luck with the job .

A warning for GBH? Sounds like you were lucky mate.

 

What I would say is what do you need a shotty for? I mean you don't actually need a reason, but it is a lot of hassle if you are going to use it once a year or something like that. If I was you I would wait a few years until that "warning" is way behind me and I have the money to enjoy what can be an expensive sport, and as you get older you might get more time to use it too.

i had a sgc at 13 and a fac the day after my 17th birthday....and grew up on a council estate

as long as your not a compleate numpty and the FAO isnt a compleate arse you should be ok! BUT you should have permission first so you have a immediate good reason for one

You can phone and ask them mate but if you reckon you've no got the cash why bother ? theres the cost of the application , the cabinet , then the gun before you look at shells a cartridge belt etc

I got land and il explain the warning cause it looks bad basically i was in a science class and i.just sat down and there was powder all over my desk i just though it was chalk or something so i used my dinner card (school bank card) and flicked it off my table and as i did the girl opposite bent down and a little bit went on her turned out the teacher had left it on the desk from the lesson before it was some sort of acid obviously weaked cause it was in a school. The girl ended with a rash for a couple days i aplogised soon as it happend and she accepted it but her parents pushed for the police to be invoved and the girl really didnt want them involved so i had a final warning or something ill admit it was stupid and careless. I dont want people on here thinking im some chav that beat up someone and got off lucky. As for money it is only a thought at the minute id wait till i get the job and have a bit of money ect thanks for the advice
