swg dave 334
I have often wondered what is it like to lamp the dales,,, are the rabbits easy to catch as some quite good bags are taken up there as ive read. Do you get lots of squatters? it would be nice to hear first hand from people who have lamped the dales as the scenery and landscape is stunning by day. cheers SWG Dave. Tallywacker 262
When we wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the dales But didn't have a clue where to go.... So I just did a search on here and 2/3 places kept popping up!! so we headed to these places mentioned and low and be hold they were lifting with rabbits! So every couple of weeks for the last 3 seasons we head for the dales day/night and it's true what they say bout rabbits in the dales being easier, we've just got average dogs but they look like film stars up there..... 3 Quote Link to post

You should give these far off places a try fellah.. The UK realy is a big old place, and it seems even bigger, after dark... Personaly, I think every keen lurcherman should have at least one good day and one good night,..it seems to put everything into perspective and enables a man to move forwards without wondering and thinking, what if, etc...I've been extremely lucky, in that I have travelled all over the country and drunk from the cup of good fortune,..my hunger for killing has been well and truly sated, and nowadays, I enjoy my stays with genuine hunting men so much more.. So,..for any man that is curious,..get yourself out there,...and only then,..will you know... Edited November 13, 2015 by Phil Lloyd 5 Quote Link to post
