Just was think may be over thinking lol but a lot of lads are using thick big heavy collars on they running dogs, surely that wouldn't benefit the running and striking prey? Don't get me wrong not saying anyone's wrong I have used them my self when I was in the terrier game but surely a light weight thin collar would be more beneficial ?

If a dog got caught up on a branch or fence barb wire by the collar I would rather he had a wide collar on rather than a thin 1.

Or if something with teeth grabbed him by the neck the wide collar would offer some protection.
