drid 22
I bought this lamp last friday in my local gun shop. Took it out sataday for a blast. I have the 22amp lithium battery. Was out for 3 hours. Weather wasnt the best. Had 5 rabbits. My personal opinion on the hid for me is better than the halogen. I like the white beam. For me the halogen looks like its dying. I also have bought a hood that is designed for the 170. As it takes a massive amount of the glare away. Dont think i will go back halogen though. Everyone has there own favourd i soppose ☺☺ Quote Link to post

lurchers4life 103
Somewhereyournot was out last night to my mate got a 140 I feel like a miner when he uses it may aswell use a candle somnights Quote Link to post
drid 22
The i got is 4200k. Anything over 5000k is blue apparently. Natraul daylight is between 4000k to 4500k. It also helps the dog see at distance because its not yellow like halogen ! Quote Link to post
drid 22
A 100w halogen bulb uses 8.4 amps per hour. And the 50w hid bulb uses 3.4 amps per hour ☺ Quote Link to post
lurchers4life 103
There quality lamps drid ? Quote Link to post
drid 22
My very first lamp was the LR9 back in 1991 ! Ive had almost evert lamp there is. But my personal choice of all is the lightforce 170 hid 50w love it Quote Link to post
Fat-Ferret 857
I tried a Lightforce HID, But it was way too bulky for me for lamping with the dogs...That ballast on the bottom makes it awkward to handle Quote Link to post
Somewhereyournot 1,117
Why? What would the ballast obstruct unless lamping out the window? The enforcer range look to have smaller ballasts? Still getting one anyway haha. What do you think of it apart from ballast Quote Link to post

rocket ronnie 243
If I was you I'd stick too you old lamp or get the led 150 if ye after white light at least there only 50 quid an that way ye not arsed if they brake honest mate not worth the hassle they won't exchange first they send the off too Australia to be fixed waiting about a month then get it back brakes again then swap them brake I'm just letting ye know waste of money bud Quote Link to post
runem 533
Hid lamps really are bright and white, they make the led and halogen lamps look like their batteries are about to go, however they dont reflect the rabbits eyes the same and you loose the ruby red give away reflection. You end up trying to spot silvery coloured rabbits in rough grass its hard work,so for that reason i have reverted back to halogen, 2 Quote Link to post
