Ideation 8,216
If they are true mates and you hunt together, then you will know that they won't do anything you wouldn't. If the dogs going to get hurt, it isn't going to make any difference, who it is that carries it home. . . . . . .it's just a roll of the dice every time the dog runs, and we don't have much to do with the outcome. 3 Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Out of interest. . . . . why would some of you NEVER EVER forgive your friend, if the dog managed to kill itself. . . . ? Would you deem it their fault? Why? 2 Quote Link to post

Would you deem it their fault? Why? I've only got one mate who I would trust with my dogs if he needed something to run, and if anything happened to them then it would be "so be it". When the dogs off that slip lead it doesn't matter who's present, what will be will be. 6 Quote Link to post
peterhunter86 8,627
When I was a lad I hunted with a man around the corner from me and if he was going the pub he would let me take dog out for a lamp.one night slipped the dog in a field he told me never to slip the dog in and I ripped the leg off the dog it cost him ninety pound in the vets which was a few quid back then and he wouldn't take a penny off me We where great friends till the day he died rip Gerry Quote Link to post
NEWKID 27,687
I know the couple of lads I go out with would treat my dogs exactly how they should be treated, One of the lads had to go away for a day last season, his dog was still a pup and I sat him for the day, he came up the farm with me and the dogs plus a ferret and we messed about for a few hours bolting rabbits and the pup loved it.. home washed and fed, when he picked him up that evening the dog was happy and so was he... can't see the problem.. 1 Quote Link to post

Accidents happen but that was an accident to be avoided, obviously Quote Link to post
