shepp 2,285
I thought the old socialist traitor looked about as comfortable at the Cenotaph, as a 13 year old girl in a Rotherham mini cab office.

BGD 6,436
How exactly did he look uncomfortable Did he also look uncomfortable when he was giving a reading at his constituency memorial service like he does every year? No matter what he did or how he acted the right were going to try and score cheap political points out of today, fecking shameful if you ask me it should be a day when political games are put to one side as the country joins together in sombre remembrance. *The*Field*Marshall* 674
Hate to say this, as I can't think of much I agree with the man on . . But I find him more likable and down to earth than the likes Cameron and Osborne.
ftm 3,357
how treacherous blair had the nerve to attend is just as worrying as corbyn --yet farage isn't invited? tells you a lot really liebour scameron & liberals all in same boat
WILF 46,965
Another thing too, when ordinary folk start worrying about how the leader of the opposition looks rather than what he says then it's no wonder the country is bang in the shit. Corbyn is a socialist wanker, but then again they all f***ing are......they are just serving it up in different guises. Yep, the UK gets exactly what it deserves at the moment. Blackbriar 8,569
I'm not interested in politicians on Remembrance Sunday - its not about them, and never should be ! I never miss the veterans parading past the Cenotaph, and feel very humbled watching better men then me pay their respects and tell their stories. They are worth a million here-today, gone-tomorrow politicians. There were interviews with an old soldier who was at the Dunkirk evacuation, then returned to Normandy on D-Day, and a smashing old boy who lost his leg at Arnhem. The Chelsea pensioners were led by a veteran whose unit came under attack. When the ammunition ran out, he fought them off by throwing beer bottles at them ! Not surprisingly, he proudly wore the VC. I'd ban politicians from the service completely......... Edited November 9, 2015 by Blackbriar
WILF 46,965
Far rage for pm next time he's our only hope fs Farage has a massive problem......he needs another 400 Nigel Farages !! I like Farage a lot but I have to admit that when UKIP started letting existing and ex MPs join the ranks they lost me......these are exactly the type of people we need to get rid of !! The media made big play of UKIP councillors and perspective candidates saying nutty and distasteful things......and UKIP bowed to the pressure. In fact they should have given two fingers to the media and cracked on because these were ordinary people and ordinary people say barmy stuff......good !!.....I f***ing wanted ordinary people who see things from the ordinary blokes point of view. Big mistake letting career politicians into UKIP IMHO
Born Hunter 17,775
On a similar tone, I thought it was a shame to see the day used to highlight the Trident debate. Current political issues, even ones of defence, should be left for another day.

Big mistake letting career politicians into UKIP IMHO In electoral politics you need to bow to pressure to win mass support, not switched on/pissed off people, they're a tiny minority. If someone says something too different and makes the party look too eccentric and strange they'll be far less electable in the eyes of the general public.
WILF 46,965
Simple question, and I'm not being sarcastic Neems, but why? That's what we have had, it's not working.......that's why I say we get exactly what we deserve
