zandy01 3,575
Cheers for comments gents Bill - we are heading up for 2 weeks again next year, amazing place to be... Spent a good few days trying for a buzzard but no real success, seen lots but very distant and hard to get close near for a shot or two...

I'm from Carlisle originally but never appreciated the lakes or being so close to Scotland either - I was young and stupid when I think about it now and what was on my doorstep

We stayed at Laggan mate, tiny little village and we stayed at the Laggan Drey, we are going to head there again next year but for 2 weeks as it was so good... So remote and can walk for miles or short drive and you've got busier places We booked through these http://www.sykescottages.co.uk/cottage/Northern-Highlands-Cairngorms-National-Park-Gergask/The-Laggan-Drey-1525.html And some reviews http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/VacationRentalReview-g2549626-d1598283-THE_LAGGAN_DREY_pet_friendly_character_holiday_cottage_in_Laggan_Ref_1525-Laggan_Scot.html Honestly couldn't fault the place if you got dogs, enjoy walking, scenery and wildlife
