Anyone Know Much About Bullmastiffs?

So in some ways its useless having a big dog to stop scumbags? The worlds gone mad lol.

If some scummy c**t breaks in my house when my missus and baby are there and my dog does them I'll worry about the law afterwards.
Too right mate, i just was wondering where the law stands. Difference between a dog doing its job and some ego owner with a dog he cant handle. Sounds like your dogs are spot on anyway, like the idea of them being able to turn off. Sort of sounds like a dog more confident in itself rather than constantly wanting to grab anything like a man biter.

A few presas have caught my eye but like all breeds alot of shit out there too. Suppose just got to do some homework before buying. Some look quite like just black or brindle am bulldogs. Size wise how do they compare? Know it says that on google but guessing thats just the standard for dogs being shown.

You just hit the nail on the head mate that's exactly how my mate explained them just last night when we were chatting'confident in their own ability'Their like the bloke in the pub who sits quietly in the corner avoiding confrontation is happy to be friendly and have chat but if some c**t insists on taking the piss you know he can deal with them with the minimum of fuss.He doesn't need to run around the place mouthing off bashing people.

Hmm I wouldn't say straight bull mastiff myself, she's got the markings, but her head looks boxer like?!? That said, I'm not all that clued up on these breeds. Nice bitch nonetheless

The group of lads I train with try to put our dogs under different types of mental stress and pressure whilst doing protection work ie smoke bombs,chainsaws/leaf blowers revved in their faces, working

We've got a couple of venues that we use but my favourite is a disused nightclub in East London where our main decoy sometimes does night security to stop people getting in and squatting as this ha

Really like the sound of the neo influenced bandogs, never owned one myself always been DDB/EM/BM influenced lines, stayed away from the neo types because I've personally never met what I would consider a fit and healthy pure.

Do you have any experience with bandogs bred from other mastiff types downsouth? Wondering how you think they compare :hmm:

Not really mate quite a few pressa types but they're not really my cup of tea.All the ones I've met seem to be switched on all the time and never seem to be relaxed.Im no expert on neos or neo based bandogs but like anything I get into I make a point of researching and meeting as many as I can and they all seem to act exactly the same and carry the same traits.Like for instance when we're training sleeve work when the decoy slips the sleeve you run a little circuit with the dog carrying the sleeve as a little reward.Every neo or cross I've seen work spits the sleeve out as soon as the decoy slips it off also it's hard to get heavy neo crosses to do a long send on a decoy running away as he's not a threat if he's running away.

Sounds spot on  my BM x I posted earlier in the thread was the same way with the sleeve work, as soon as the decoy wasn't a threat he lost all interest in the sleeve and was back to my side keeping watch. Definitely had the on/off switch too. One in a million he was

All my other bandogs have been more like presas in that they never really switched off but that could also be down to how I trained them, not having kids and being an antisocial fecker in general means I never worried too much about them being 100% steady in all situations as long as they were 110% serious when working. Different matter if you've got them as "family guardians".

Don't get me wrong if you wanted to turn one into a right c**t it wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to do but a dog like that doesn't suit my needs.Right from a small pup mines been to boot fairs markets, the beach to the playground with my nipper I even took her to silly puppy classes. She loves everybody when we're out but she's just turned 6 months and in the last few weeks she's made it quite clear that as soon as it gets dark she won't tolerate anyone near me.I haven't praised her for it but I haven't bollocked her for it I just keep her on the lead if it's dark. Also we've got shitloads of eastern Europeans living in our village working on the farms she's fine with the Poles Latvians etc but right from a pup she's hated the Greasy Romanian Bosnian looking ones. Its like she's had the dodgy looking fuckers worked out from the off.

This might make you laugh lol. Park opposite my old house everyone for a good week had rumours of a dodgy bloke being over there. Whole parks dodgy but hey lol. Was abit of chinese whispers as the discription would change and noone had actually done anything over there. Anyway cant sleep one night so decide im gonna do a few laps with the american bulldog. My mum half asleep hearing me walking about shouts from her bed for me to "f**k off asleep and dont go over the park that bloke might be there". Must of been about 14 at the most so dont judge me for this....for some reason i thought f**k the bloke ill bring a knife and stab him if the dog gets him. Not a single lamp post over the park but eyes get used to the dark and was a decent moon. I remember that because i remember clear as anything this black bloke in cammo walking at a fast pace from the bush across the grass towards me. So did i set the dog on him n stab him to death and hide the body? Did i f**k lol i dropped the knife and even the lead as i was legging it back home lol.

Years ago a friend said hed heard their was some pups out of a bulldog. Asked him to find out for me n turnt out they was bandog pups. Wont name the kennel as not my place to. I know only crossing the dogs anyway but looking now, was far better bulldog options out there. Maybe though it was the best he had access too. What is taken into account when selecting the bulldog to be used? Have seen a catchweight bulldog biggest one ive seen infact. Looking recently at some presas online n they reminded me of it.

A bloke i knew who trained protection dogs said the most frightening dangerous dog he'd ever known was a neo bitch whose owner had wound it up at every passer-by that went past his window and everyone that knocked on the door. If that had got out it would have been very messy.

One of my pals who I train with had a pure Neo from KC stock.Shes not as over exaggerated as a lot of the show stuff but she still weighs about 130lb.Typical neo laid back chilled out but always watching what's going on but if a decoy does a bit of agitation with her she has to be back tied to a very strong spring fixed to something solid as there is no way a man could physically hold her.Ive noticed even with the show bred monstrosities they might be physical wrecks but they have all seemed to of retained the same mindset.

Goes back to the post I made replying to gnash about these dogs being liabilites - half arsed "attack" training from a muppet with no clue is a recipe for disaster

Spot on there BGD if your going to train with this type of dog first thing to do is find a a trainer who knows what he's doing and not some idiot who thinks you just whack a dog with a stick. And second you've got to be prepared to put in the hard work to teach the dog decent obedience and control so your not walking around with a liability on a lead. The problem is a lot of these f***ing idiots haven't got a clue and start winding these dogs up then get bored after a few weeks and move onto the next new thing.

Dead right there pal  folk just don't understand what a serious, long term commitment owning one of these dogs is, really not something you can just dip your toe into and then give up on when you realise it's not for you. You really need to be 100% dedicated to not only the initial training but constantly refreshing and improving on it.

Old pal of mine always used to say there's nothing more dangerous than a half trained protection dog

Thats why i liked what you said about the dogs being able to switch off. The owner who just wants a man biter must be quite insecure and paranoid. If in a lifestyle where your that paranoid you might want to change careers lol. Even a single bloke upto no good will meet normal people and have family visit ect. Dog sounds like a problem rather than something id be proud to own.

Kc neo down from hunter kennels stuff? He had some good looking neos which didnt look over the top.

This is spike a pressa we had a few years ago.brought up with my young lads from being baby's. The dog was 100% with the kids wife and me.

The boys could do anything to him pull his tail hand in his mouth play fight with him etc etc pretend he was a pony and ride his back in the living room lol.

But if any stranger walked up the drive or knocked the door then he would switch on. You felt safe when he was sleeping in the kitchen and you was in bed. I wouldn't like to think what he would do to someone if they broke in or raised a hand to the family.

As a seeker of truths and in order to establish some veracity of facts ,  yesterday I carried out a what’s app football questionnaire.
In order to maintain impartiality , I’ve awaited until the final results are in.... and it makes for interesting reading .
The conditions were set for a level playing field .reams of questions were filtered through however I decided on three questions alone to maintain ease of answer via the polling method of what’s app.
      1. Who in your opinion are the top 6 English football clubs regardless of league or current table position?
      2. Who would you say are the biggest English league side outwith big 6 ?
      3. Who is the bigger club Newcastle or Sunderland?
Answer in your opinion , no right or wrong .
Each question was asked individually, as in only when they Had responded to the first was the second sent and so on
the demographic was chosen with the following constraints
      1. No fans of either Sunderland or Newcastle were chosen to be questioned.
      2. I selected 20 people in order to make it a fair pool of people and to make % mathematics easier.
      3. All 20 lads are guys i have played football with or discussed football with at length.
      4. No members of the hunting life .
      5. 10 born and raised south of Birmingham . Including 2 welsh lads. 10 born north of Birmingham . Including 2 Scottish lads.
      6. All agreed to have the conversations and their findings included in the survey .
So with no further delay , is anyone interested in reading the results ?
Any ideas on how I could have set conditions to a fairer test?

Went to look at a house last week in which me and the missus fell in love with, we offered the asking price straight away and exchanged phone numbers with the couple.

They made it clear that they had a couple more viewings of the house and wanted to honour them. Come Tuesday morning I rang the estate agents at the crack of birdshit to get an update, they told me they were waiting on hearing off the other people first.

Come 11 I got a call and they told me someone had put in a bigger offer and they had accepted it. After falling in love with the house I wasn't happy about that so I put in a counter offer that was higher.

The estate agent got back to me saying that the couple was still sticking with that other offer and turned down our bigger offer. I asked what the fcuk for and the slag at the estate agents said had no answer and says they might have got a better vibe, wtf!

What pisses me off about the situation is the way they were when we viewed the house, I went with my newborn and missus and she loved it. The way they were, talking about this house being perfect for my new daughter to grow up in has really pissed me off.

I honestly feel like putting the fcuking Windows through and killing their cat hahahaha. I expect a phone call off the estate agent because the message I sent to the speccy eyed prick house owner is not pleasant to say the least. I hope the deal falls through and they end up living in a cardboard box the fcuking rats!!! ???
