barrywhite 282
i have a hawke LRF600 that works ok . It has a problem with the battery compartment the little lid of the compartment come open easy to easy ,the lid could be lost with the battery so I put a piece of electrical tape over it . A bit annoying .If I was getting a new rangefinder finder it would have to have the display screen that illuminated so it could be used at night . My range finder doesnt have a illuminated display that is something I would consider if I was getting a new range finder as some new range finders have this . I have not used a range finder with a illuminated display they they may be no good at night , they must have some use not as good as day time obviously but someone will fill us in .. 1 Quote Link to post

philpot 4,981
I am also on a quest to get a range finder and have found a couple that seem to fit the bill, one being a day/night finder. The first one does not say what the minimum range is but having spoken to the seller, I am advised that it starts at 3mt which sounds perfect. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262094722766?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The Hawk 400 has gone up in price with a shop price tag of around £134 but the 400 is not waterproof. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hawke-400m-Compact-Digital-Laser-Range-Finder-Golf-Hunting-Shooting-6x-Zoom-/380672494262?hash=item58a1d94ab6:g:l4cAAMXQ74JTR6rg The Vision King seems to be a decent finder and has a night model as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351565655506?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This one has a readout on the side which might be easier to use.........who knows http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262101375151?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=560872888460&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT At this price, it makes you wonder if it is worth buying for the hell of it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Digital-7x-RANGE-FINDER-Golf-Hunting-Laser-Range-Finder-ZX-/252145288177?hash=item3ab507c3f1:g:qS0AAOSwT5tWMHed And lastly the day and night range finder. Be aware the image is digital so not as crisp as glass but similar I think to a digital camera view finder. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mutifuction-Digital-Night-Vision-Infrared-IR-Monocular-Scope-Scout-Laser-Ranger-/231735315401?hash=item35f4804bc9:g:pJgAAOSw9mFWMe8Z There are loads of others on ebay just need to decide but whatever you buy let us know Phil 1 Quote Link to post
