Silversnake 1,099
I basically have the same view as apbt, first x might be good but I would prefer a quarter or eighth. Quote Link to post
King. 215
I think a 3/4 whippet 1/4 patterdale would be a handy type. 1 Quote Link to post
Somewhereyournot 1,117
I think a 3/4 whippet 1/4 patterdale would be a handy type.too small IMO. You'd be better off with a greyhound bitch about 27 lol Quote Link to post
Dame92 387
I would do a first x then put a full pat back so that would be 3/4 pat 1/4 grey then put full grey back get myself a 3/8 5/8 Quote Link to post
mad4it 694
it does sound a handy cross if the pat came from proven lines ,it could a good alrounder . My wife used to have a whippetx jrt which was good at the useal quarry as been sad the pat seems to be the choice terrier at the moment, so who know the patx greyhound could be the next big thing. I think you would need a small greyhound bitch or build a platform the stud or stand the bitch in a hole so the stud would be able to cover her. Quote Link to post
Dame92 387
I think we would artificial inseminate. And me and my mate have a good line of terrier around us but they are only pups Quote Link to post

Likes been said maybe people will look at the patterdale as the next blood for a lurcher. They are as game as they come basically like a apbt but in small form. Bull X grey. Pat X whippet. Gareth12 224
If you could get the coat and attitude of the patt into a nice racy 20-23inch frame I could see that being a handy dog for anyone. I'd definitely have one in the future. 3 Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
Had a couple of conversations with Moorside about this cross. I'd always plump for a greyhound when crossing a terrier but more importantly choose your Patterdale well. There are lines of good straight fronted, hard jacketed, leggy ones out there if you look enough and it'd only be that type i'd use. Quote Link to post
Dame92 387
I think they would make hunting machines lol like a bull x but without the sheer power but game as one. Got to admire the terrier, quality little dogs ?????? Quote Link to post

mad4it 694
Would have a first x pat x greyhound or pat x whippet, as I said before they could be next in thing or one to advoild Quote Link to post
stevo79 569
I've had a patterdale quite leggy, he breed with my collie x jack. I've still got one of offspring here, I'd love to breed from her but she's 10 now an never had pups so missed the boat there, shes a great little dog. Breed her with a whippet or a greyhound I rekon she'd have some handy pups. Edited November 6, 2015 by stevo79 Quote Link to post

General lee 979
It could be a handy x but I think you would have to choose the latter dale wisely or it could be a mess not one thing or the other just my thinking I could be wrong of course Quote Link to post
