neems 2,406
f**k sake I had one today and thought I could ignore it. 1) I was on a road by an industrial park NOT A CAR PARK. 2) The sign that was supposed to display that you can't park there was for some reason totally blank so there was no way you could read the terms and conditions. It might be worth getting some photos for evidence.

Private parking companies ? Your having a laugh son. They dress their tickets up to look like official fines (which they aint) and also have bully boy tactics for trying to get money out of people. It's fair if you go over to pay what you owe. Charging hundreds of pounds for a bit of time or in my case having a BLANK SIGN and then trying to say its displayed and charging me is fair and lawful ? Where did you park? Have you got photos of where you parked? No double yellows? No parking bays? I'm not having a laugh. Just sick of reading about people dumping their cars wherever they fancy then whining like little girls when they get a fine, son. Edited to add - you say it's "fair to go over". You didn't go over. You just never paid in the first place. There's a boy. You showed them.

Parking tickets are supposed to be fair in that you pay what the owner lost in money. How can they lose anything if its not even a car park ? And yes I did take pictures
shepp 2,285
It's a shame so many people make living being parasites on others who are just trying to get by and scratch a living. Instead of doing something constructive or even doing something helpful to society. They add nothing to society other than misery and ill feeling with there bullying tactics just keeping within the law. Now they have the law practically backing them, they will really be pushing there luck with huge charges. They really are the dregs of society and I hope the misery they inflict comes back on them, as is very often the case in life.

Lab 10,979
Well I've got an £85 quid fine and they can f**k right off. I was working on a site in Partick, no parking on site and the streets were jam packed. So I parked in Morrisons cause the car park was never even half full. I've had 2 letters that's went in the bin. Everyone I know doesn't pay the private ones so I'll no be either.
