jonnie bravo 572
Yeh crack on just give em a wipe down after use, especially the handle. Take care of your reel too. Quote Link to post
TRUEBRIT66 1,500
Test curve will have a bearing on casting distance and weight size, to heavy a weight and you could end up snapping the rod. Regards Quote Link to post
northern lad 2,292
Used mine on the beach at Pendine a few years ago,its 12 ft 2.5lb TC,was absolutely fine .As already said, wipe it down after, and don't try and sling a 6oz breakaway 120 yds.For what its worth I would be more careful with your reel choice....some of them don't like saltwater ATB Dave Quote Link to post
mad4it 694
yes you can use it just wipe it down, bass and flounder rods use the same blanks as carp rods, 2.5 test curve has a cast weight of 3 ozs. enjoy the sport using your carp rod. 1 Quote Link to post
bunnyhugger 1
Cheers boys I would be using Max of two ounces anyway I'm not after distance no more than 40 to 50 yards for bass and at my feet for flounder got a shimano reel to go with it. Quote Link to post
