Mine Is Better Than Yours crops up a lot on The Hunting Life. WHY?

Calibre, Make, Power, Price, and so on and so on. Is this a boast or a fact? Is it not just better to say if it is capable of doing the job that you want it to do and you are happy with it, price, calibre and with your own skills and so on, then is it not more than a match?

Without Skill the tools used are just lots of items.
