Socialism Curse Of The Society

Communism isn`t socialism Wilf

can`t see any mention of communism in Wilf`s post but reading through the shit about everyone being equal does strike me as the ideal that the soviets had, and when it all comes to light its a case of some being more equal than others, socialism is a stupid illconcieved idea of how society should be (as they see it) with no regard as to how it would work, a bit like the crap situation we`re in now with immigration, way I see it is the ones who want this sort of society either are from wealthy backgrounds who have no real need to work or are the ones who want everything handed to them on a plate for f/all effort

Someone sent this to me it's so true....   An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before but had recently failed an entire class. That

Socialists - people who've got nothing and want to share it with you !

There is more social mobility in the UK today than ever before, I grew up on a council estate and am now a rat catcher yet I can holiday in tropical lands and ride to hounds, that has never been possi

Someone tell me that a perfect socialist society isn`t the best option.

And put some thought into it, don`t just paraphrase.

ok, give me one example of where it has been tried and seems to be halfway workable, the theory that it is the best way to live is everyones idea of how things should work but in practice its more corrupt than the shit we live under in the UK now

Corrupting it doesn`t make it wrong, it makes the people that corrupt it wrong.

Socialism to me means that we look after the people that need it. We accept that we can`t earn 100k a year when we don't deserve it because others need a share of that.

I work in oil, I know folk on 200k a year and they don`t deserve it,, that money could be shared out to people trying to support a family by working for 6 quid an hour.

Tell me thats wrong,

And don't start me on self employed folk hiding there cash to avoid tax, then bitching about schools and hospitals.

I could and will go on all night here, this seriously pisses me off

It`s there Neil. "Communist socialism" I don`t see them as being partners.

I see socialism as being very very different to communism

how, the only way to do it is to take by force when they(the leaders) decide that someone has too much and it wants distributing among the ones who have not, its been tried already, doesn't work, never will no matter how much you dream of it, simple human nature to try and better things for your self and your family, when you get a situation where you get from others what your not prepared to work for yourself you get the same crap we have now with so much of the worlds population trying to get over here, and after spending a week out of wales in a not major city seeing all the ones turning up in the jobcentre demanding NI numbers to claim benefits no b*****d is ever going to tell me immigration is not a problem, and its dickheads with this socialist idea of all being equal that's a large part of the shit this country is in, and when englands full and they start filling Scotland and wales maybe, just maybe they will start looking at our so called leaders in a different light

Communism isn`t socialism Wilf

It's a form of socialism.

Any form of internationalism is very, very bad,it inevitably leads to unparalleled exploitation and genocide.

But socialism on a national (in the true sense of the word) or smaller scale can work, the family could be described as a socialist unit for example.

I suppose a persons view on the acquirement and distribution of wealth rests on ones sociological standpoint. I'm afraid to say I am a functionalist in that respect, I think marxism relies too heavily on the 'goodness of man', of which I am highly dubious and probably lean towards a Calvinistic approach of 'total depravity' I am not a Calvinist, more of a 'calminian' !

In view of wealth, a statement I acknowledge more than any other is this:

"For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." 1 Timothy 6:10.

This is often misquoted to say "money is the root of all evil" omitting the "love of" which I think we should rid ourselves, if necessary, regardless of what those in power do with it . .

Rake I admire your train of thought, it is of course the right and proper way to be.......however, I think the pure ideal of "socialism" for want of a better word (let's call it helping those less fortunate) is a VERY different thing from political socialism.

To me, true socialism would allow people to thrive and prosper, free from the wasteful, greedy demands or government and encourage a society that makes it normal to help your fellow men in ways that the individual sees fit for an amount of their choosing.

Or indeed gives them the option not to help at all, everyone has to live with their own deeds.

It's in no way the business of government to make these decisions for you, they can't be trusted as has been proved time and again.

This was all written down 2000 years ago but we won't go there or it will turn into a 20 pager ;)

The individual always knows best how to share their blessings but if you are helping yourself wholesale to them then it makes them less likely to share them off their own back.

Imho
