I'll make a post when they get older and we can all get a look at what they'll be like. He'll be one crazy looking dude if he keeps the white eye. :)

It will be interesting to see what they turn out like as you can see the coat on them is going to be good.

Here are a few old pics of a 3/4 dh 1/ 4 go a real classy bitch that put some amount of gear on th e deck the basis of all the running dogs I keep. Now and will always keep add some good saluki hybrid blood and you have a better animal For me anyway I would love a purebred but don't have the land and quarry to do it justice

The gen bred deer greys do they tend to stay smaller or throw any size?

Good question,i have loaned my book out to some one which is written by Bill Doherty as regards the pure working deerhound and first cross so I carnt quote his references as regards genetics ,etc,so maybe Omanyra may be shed more light on the question asked?.

Here's a "Canadian Staghound" of DHxGH origin from southern BC. A couple of pics from when he was young, then from present day. He's now 11yrs old, and been my best dog by far, after 25 years of sighthounds. Really sharp, lots of brain and tons of character and a pure athlete. Back in the day, he'd go out at night and just drop the rabbits on the back porch. Now he just likes to chill at the beach, loves the water. Absolutely perfect creature if there ever was one. As Dan mentioned, these guys are rarely first cross, and maybe some collie from back in the day as a littler mate had one blue eye. In the last pic, he's watching a bald eagle shred his breakfast. The pics look a little big, hope that's ok, first post. Lovely dogs BTW guys.
