I used my own 3ft nets last weekend and as I hoped, they caught well, pursed up quickly and nothing got out of them.

Made from spun poly on a 2"board, 2 rows of 8 increasing by 1 mesh a row up to 4 rows of 14 then back down again to 2 rows of 8 meshes. 18 rows total.

Made half a dozen before the season kicked off so will probably make another 8 or 10 to compliment a boat load of 4 footers

I'd second that mate, i get asked about purse nets all the time, I dont knit purse nets for people any more, not even friends. I dont send people anywhere other than Bill, ive seen his work first hand.

To start and end the season we use nets made from a two inch board there still four foot long but they catch a lot more of the three quarter sized rabbits that make up the bag at these times , then for the middle part of the season we move over to two and a eighth mesh made nets

Cant see mesh sizes in the above posts?? .. so why comment? and if a 2" (4 "full mesh) catches better than a larger mesh size why bother ??after all its a purse net ?.. a smaller in length net set amongst hedges e.t.c. will purse better than a 4ftt jobby Fact! ..

Then again what the F@k do I know as I only get out and about once Her indoors lets me of the leash ...
