RussBoy 77
Anyone use them? Saw redmills selling a bag called big bread for 8 quid a big sack and you just mix meat with it for a complete feeding stuff. Some old time track lads once told me that's all they fed there dogs on bread and meat.
Gaz_1989 9,539
I have used it and been considering going back to it. I don't like completes but I like adding something to bulk the meal out. Usually brown bread or pasta. But these don't seen a bad option.
skycat 6,173
It doesn't even tell you what the ingredients are. So you can probably assume that most of it is wheat: why not just buy a few loaves of whole meal bread, dry in the oven and break into bits yourself. At least you'll be sure what it contains, rather than wondering what crap has been swept off what factory floor to go into a manufactured 'bread'.

jeemes 4,481
I think they are a good idea but I havnt tried them yet. Greyhound kennels usually have or used to have a supply of stale brown bread which is soaked in soup and then broken down by hand basically until you get a nice friable moist crumb that mixes well with minced meat and vegetables that have been cooked or grated raw. I'm feeding run of the mill brown bread with the meat at the moment. If you go a supermarket before they close on a Sunday there's usually a few loaves going cheap. I freeze them and take out slices as I need them.
