Ideation 8,216
Recently I've been spending a lot of time talking to farmers about hare coursing. Given what they have to deal with on a regular basis from some of the travellers. . . . . It's no wonder they hate hare coursers. They also hate the fact that the police do bugger all about it! Soooo . . . . . . when the police get a chance to jump on some normal, easy to arrest, run of the mill bloke. . . . . they are all over it like a rash! But to be honest, if so many of the people coursing with running dogs are going to act like total wankers. . . . . . its no wonder we are all demonised! longdog85 29
It's always the few that ruin it for the majority and I totally agree that current coursing methods are wrong but to label a coursing man a child abuser is disgraceful . I'm sure the media and police use language like this to vilify dog men so members of public ring as soon as they see anyone out with a dog doing there job for them . Quote Link to post
Merlin21 143
How many pigs have we all seen speeding or on their phones whilst driving , do they class themselves as criminals ? do they f**k , to suggest that the guy caught coursing is likely commiting other crimes is just ridiculous , never met a decent PIG yet .. flipbull 1,139
Last week on south today Fred dinage announced that people involved in wildlife crime including coursing and fish poaching were also likely to be into drug dealing and child abbuse . never seen jimmy sa vile chase hares but he did like to chase kids and venerable mental ill folk to fcuk . border lad 1,047
They never caught the man coursing, His van was parked near-by, ex police man turned wild life officer, they Fabricated a case, threatened, to Ban him from keeping dogs, that case went on for almost 6 months, yes and he had one case against him for coursing in the same court, He really thought they were going to Ban him, due to the Fabrication of the case, one man against Three other so called witnesses,The Prosecutor, was wanting the Ban his solicitor was objecting to the ban, The case was stacked against him from the start to the finish,, Scotlands courts are run by the Lairds, only in 1960 they removed the penalty of Hanging, for Sheep stealing or rustling, that was removed by the Human rights, not by Westminster, 2 Quote Link to post

There are a lot of wankers in all walks of life, but travellers and hare coursing do kind of go hand in hand. The folk I have been speaking to are in places like Essex where I am told there are some very large sites? I don't really know much about these things. But it seems that the police don't really have much luck with those communities when it comes to enforcing the law. And its a shit site easier to jump on a normal run of the mill bloke and do him for everything they can. Obviously I could have it all wrong. 1 Quote Link to post
paulsmithy83 567
Police enforce the law just as easy with travellers as country folk. What is clear as day Travellers always get the harsher end of the law. Yeah we like hare coursing, but we all dont go round thieving and causing trouble. I know many a traveller doing things the right way but then its easier to just blame a traveller. 1 Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Paul - It wasn't meant to be a personal dig mate. . .. look at what I have written. I don't think all travellers are in any way bad folk, I've had a lot lot more wrong done to me by regular folk. All i'm saying is what I've heard, that a lot of farmers think they get a lot of grief from some of the travelling folk out coursing etc, in that part of the world, and they feel that the police are not up for going into these sites. . . . . I don't live there, I'm just going on what these farmers are saying, having to go out chasing folk around their newly drilled crops. SO what I was suggesting was, that some bloke on his tod running a few hares is probably an easy target for the police, and making them out to be arch enemy number one, makes them look like they have had a big pull. . . . . trying to keep the landowners, farmers etc off their backs. But whoever it is, there seems to be a general crack down on it at the moment. 1 Quote Link to post

Be made to look like thugish criminals, degraded and put in the stocks Quote Link to post
