Boy Camped At Side Of A9

Recommended Posts

Apologies if its already been covered!

But, does anyone know what happened to the lad that was camped in the layby off the A9 near Bruar?

I was up at Inversnekky shooting last week and I noticed that the lad was gone and the layby was coned off.

Anyone know?

"Charles Ingram, who is believed to be 70, is reported to have set up home in his Mercedes 220 car after losing his money in a business dispute".

Just saw a article saying he was evicted on 30th Sept. I saw him a day or two before. He's been camping there for years now. Can't be the full shilling, and should probably pack it in now.

It made me chuckle when you took pre-emptive action in case someone came out with any slave references lol

Good on your grandad by the way :)

Quite a few people are happy to be left alone doing there thing like this Charles fella he says a lot of people beep and support him stop for chats etc but I bet he does also get people shouting out of the window abuse and all that sadly but maybe he does t let it get to him reminds me of another story of a homeless man who used to live in a bus shelter not far away he would be there in al weathers for around three years and people in the houses used to cook him dinner and all sorts come Christmas he had about twenty dinners from welcoming residents guy was tough as they come and would get kids chucking stuff at him French bangers stones the lot but still was ther in the freezing winter in a bus shelter untill the council moved him on he was a ex soldier and preferred that way of life to deal with his post traumatic stress from the army
