Yokel Matt 918 Posted October 21, 2015 Report Share Posted October 21, 2015 Couldn't believe my eyes yesterday but I arrived at a farm to get a few traps down and saw a heron standing by a run of mole hills that I'd planned to work. I watched it for a few minutes and then saw it strike down to grab one that must have been lifting. b*****d beat me to it. After a bit of a flick it was down the hatch. Can't make up my mind on whether to be happy for the free labour or cross for the competition! Quote Link to post

It's on my bucket list though! ahhhh i propose a experiment! if your willing I'm game. slightly off topic but!....mole catchers (myself included) blame the tinterweb and all its relevant information as being a potential downfall of traditional mole catchers, the theory being any one can read a few pages of information or watch a few videos and become a mole catcher... now i propose we put this to the test..ile send you 2 traps one "duffus" type and one or my home made type traps....and you set about catching a mole or moles with nothing but information you can get off the internet and let us know how it goes...complete with wright-up and pictures Quote Link to post

Yeah, recon he's probably a frequent visitor to that spot to dine on moles! Best option would be a trail cam setup close to the hills, if that's possible! Quote Link to post
