Nice one i bet its good from time to time to reflect on your experiences and memories from the time out in that period. It does because it helps to bring the grief i was experiencing into some sort of perspective,as much as that is possible

Blackdog92 2,047
How heavy is your stove woodman? I have often thought about getting a rig similar to yours tpee and stove for when camping close to the vehicle. At the moment im on a minimilist set up as i usually go backpacking on the fells but it would be nice to have a bit of luxury when i can.

Blackdog92 2,047
Can you stoke it right up then shut it down and it will still be going in the morning?
woodman 131
Can you stoke it right up then shut it down and it will still be going in the morning? For that you will need hardwood oak,ash etc, etc,it has a butterfly damper on the door.whether it is still alight in the morning depends mostly on how windy it is.
