Our Pet Fox

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't be fond of em in garden, and waiting for a chance to get in with the fowl. One had my little Cockerell about a week ago ( the devil) . One got my other one last year, daytime and neighbour had chased it off once, feathers, and had chased the bird across the road. The visit every night or so, only get the odd glance of em.

I used to study him in order to hunt him, now I hunt him in order to study him. Not my original words. Some one else said it but I forget who.

Plummer in a rat hunting man?

Usually attributed to Grizzly Adams I believe Edited by comanche

I think it was Theodore Roosevelt in reference to his relationship with the Grizzly Bear...but maybe I did first read it in a Plummer book. I used to enjoy his books. Whatever else the man may or may not of been he wrote some entertaining and, dare I say it, educational stuff.

how the hell did it get down there.

Lee it dont count as a dig. Good thread by the way

Feck that I'd be telling everyone about the time I had to go down 300ft to get my fox.

I'd leave out the part about it being my pet fox and a ready-dug shaft though :whistling:

I was working on a site down in Woking a few years ago, 3 tower blocks the tallest of which was 21 stories tall. It stank of fox piss all the way up to the top, they must have been everywhere at night as nobody went down to the canteen as we was all on price work so ate on the job.
