If so, when you clean them and the flesh looks and smells alright then cooking should make it alright. If it's stagnant water they might taste muddy. But, like most places there's a good chance those ducks have come from elsewhere and if that place was 100% is in the lap of the Gods. But I do know where you're coming from. There's a mine about 10 miles from me that has a lake beside it. The ducks off it have a green flesh. But you'll see that before sticking it in the oven. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

It's a bit like saying is salmon from the Thames as good as from the Tweed. Water is water and ducks fly and feed where ever they fly and feed.
