air gun ant 1,666
Ffs! It really pisses me of when irresponsible fisherman leave crap like that in the bank! I'm a fisherman myself and I no a lot on here are, yourself included. And would never dream of leaving shit like that around. Hope pups ok kev and makes a speedy recovery! I've had to unhook a lab with a plug in its back a spaniel that jumped and grabbed a plug as some prick was casting, it's lucky that I was working at a canal side pub coz neither of those idiots had a clue what to do! Had push the hooks through and cut the barbs of both times

stealthy1 3,964
Lucky dog NK, maybe had bollies on the rig, and that's why the dog ate them. Good job it was single hook and not trebbles.

NEWKID 27,520
This wasn't an irresposible angler TBF, It was an old boy who I've seen a few times along this length, hardly any kit just likes to sit with his pipe beside the canal, stopped for a quick hello and the pup was sniffing about, I pull her back onto the tow path and he say's "Don't worry lad, there's nothing there for her"...... unfortunately there was lol.... like kids you need eyes in the back of your head, I walked away and saw the swivel hanging out of her mouth, traced the line back and could see it was right back her throat. The old boy was gutted and really apologetic, but wasn't really his fault, probably fell out of his bag onto the path... It was a few weeks back now, she was out and eating no problem that day, and has been fine since..... But as forest said I've a feeling they could be a bunch of twats this lot lol
