shaaark 10,704
Can I just say to lurcherlad that a bit more patience is what you need, and listening to the advice offered to you from the people you had your dogs off, in my opinion. Arcticgun bred the litter you had the black and tan pup from, and told you that it'd be next season to try a pup from that litter, or if it wasn't you it was the lad you got the pup off at 10 months, very good advice. And trying any youngster, especially 'some' pure salukis at 10 months and expecting it to do well isn't really a sound idea. I pm'd you about that particular bitch, and would've kept her away from work this season, just get to know her and her me and let her mature a little etc, then do what arcticgun suggested, try her next season. As he said, that particular line can be quite slow to mature, as can many lurcher/longdog types. Don't know where all this starting pups at 9, 10, 11 months etc came from, recipe for frustration and attitude of 'this type/line of dogs are shite' and misery for the dogs owned by these people, because they've been tried too young and ruined, then passed on and on and on. Anyway, just my opinion, whether you take it on board or not. 1 Quote Link to post
chicken george 38
You do read sum shit on this site if you buy or breed a pup and it dont turn out to be any good get rid of it just be truthful when you sell it or what ever you do with it they cant all be champions And as for putting up with a dog thats not up to ya standards f**k that if i had a dog for 4 years and it jacked on me it would have to go 1 Quote Link to post
Gareth12 225
I've personally never seen a puppy 'jack', and if I did I would be questioning why the hell a young pup is in a position to be 'jacking' anyway... Quote Link to post
low plains drifter 10,327
The Reynolds Girls would rather jack than Fleetwood Mac Quote Link to post

chicken george 38
Never said a puppy but depends on what you call a pup If say at14 month old you would class that as a pup and you brought it on [BANNED TEXT] and it jacked would you keep it in ya kennals i know i wouldnt rather than abuse the fella wouldnt sum advise be a better reply Quote Link to post
Gareth12 225
Last dog was about 4 month old I think, one before that 9 or 10 months...too young to write off and move on imo, but everyone has different ideas. Quote Link to post
