eurwyn 0
Hello Folks, after weeks of deliberating and looking for my GWP he's finally landed (with a typical wham, crash and whallop!!) Bought a handsome 6 month old pup from member 'Bowderdale' in Cumbria last week. One hell of a journey and a 5am start but well worth the effort and the 2 seperate flashes by the speed cams. Lovely dog, excellent temperament and well biddable. All in all a credit to his former keeper, Stephen Finn whom it would appear has treated him (and his others) with great care and discipline. He jumped straight into the car and didn't even whimper all of the 221 miles back to Caernarfon! He's lived o/s as far I'm aware but has taken to the house wonderfully. He knows he has the run of the living room and kitchen, but nowhere else and is happy with that. Loves his bed, loves his fire and especially enjoys his cuddles. Working up his stamina as far as walks are concerned and only needs minimal leads for road walking etc otherwise is entirely trustworthu off the lead. Basic commands are a bit weak, especially 'COME BACK' and 'SIT' which is causing bit of grief but nothing major. He's more or less housetrained and we've had no accidents, which is strange weeing as he's been in a run. Maybe he knows he's onto a good thing or maybe it's just a sign of adaptibility - you tell me??!! Only problem is this. He is sleeping inside but only in the kitchen. We have crated him during nightime which is a ballacher, but gradually getting better. Should I be able to trust him without a crate at some point soon as I hate the monstrous thing?? Jesus, he doesn't half whine and bark after a half hour or so of getting in there, but there we go - thats's the breed I suppose! One final thing, he doesn't half fart - and Jesus they stink! Cheers (and thanks to all who replied to my first post and advice), Eurwyn Pics Attached
