Mechanic Fish farmer Gamekeeper Shepard   I wanted to be a mechanic early in school then lost intrest after i did work experiance at a garage when they all told me dont get into it. Then i got

First I wanted to be an explorer.   Then wanted to be a farmer, then an auctioneer and then a vet.   Was put off the farming by my mum, going on that there'd be no money. . . . . . don't know why

I got my first Saturday job in a butchers when I was 12 Scrapping blocks, scrubbing racks, pickling ox tongues and making burgers. Went into it full time when I was 16 been in butchers shops, slaughter

Zoologist, wrote to David Attenbourough when at school asking his advice, he wrote back a handwritten letter, top man!!

Didn't quite pan out that way though.. gave college a go, but was skint and didn't like it... so after a few jobs inc, window canvassing, working in the fishing shop and starting up a window cleaning round with my mate (before we could drive, carrying a ladder and buckets around the estate lol) ended up on the roofs with my Dad, that didn't pan out (bit of a clash), but on the buildings ever since.

Ended up in a steel building company at 19 or so then set up with my brother on our own...

And thats been that for nigh on 20 years lol.... office based now, miss the sites (when it's sunny lol)

Butcher, river keeper, binman, gamekeeper, pest controller, hunt servant.

Didn't get to try the first 3....Am thinking of doing a butchery course though. Tried the others and ended up a pesty.

I just been offered a job with butcher lol bit of a pay drop but tbh even it's not summat I fancy doing for ever, it's summat I really fancy learning to do properly

Went to a butchery event last night at a local farm shop.

It was game butchery, pretty interesting to be fair, the master butcher was unreal with a knife. Something I'd like to be a lot better at for sure.
