Rabbit Killer12 5
Hi all. Looking to get a pup thats not going to be big but capable of catching rabbits and rats from ferreting and smoking. Needs to be agile and quick. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this breed as i have a plummer terreir and i like the terriers so i think a russ x whippet would be good for me Quote Link to post

Fly The Boy 339
whippet dog x small russell bitch pups were great fox dogs no sounding just fighting killed foxes week in week out, and bushing deadly at catching rabbits in the ditches but not so good in open field, stood 15 inches and brought him every where with me, best cat killer ever, never lost fight to any dog no matter what size go straight for the juggler, a fuccking savage of a dog to fight............ 3 Quote Link to post
Silversnake 1,099
I remember reading about skycat having a border x whippet. I am pretty sure she was saying she was very happy with it's ability in the field. I have heard of people using Russell x whippets here in Oz for pigs in thick cover and loving their heart and prey drive. I think this cross could definitely be handy in the right circumstances.
