Scottish Wild Cats..

Recommended Posts

If humans were reclassified ,,in to subspecies ,,,,wich ethnic group,,would be the species,,,,and which, would be sub?

There wouldn't be a dominant one mate, either a species is completely made up by two or more subspecies or it doesn't have any and is just ranked as a species.

Why trap and neuter ferals?   Diversity is good,if anything we should be importing stray domestic cats from all over the world and releasing them in the highlands.   These wild cats haven't learne

You'd be your own species Tomo. :D

The pure wildcat is finished. Unless the conseervation bodies have a hard-line approach to domestic cats. All ferals should be shot and all cats live trapped should be blood tested to see if they are

Scottish wildcat = Felis silvestris

Domestic cat = Felis catus

White human = Homo sapiens

Black human = Homo sapiens

Do you understand the difference between race and species now? Your explaination is simplistic and incredibly outdated, by that metric nearly all snakes are the same species

If humans were any other animal or bird they would be reclassified as subspecies without a shadow of a doubt. :victory::thumbs: There are so many differences across the globe.

There really isn't enough genetic difference between human populations to split them into subspecies. The current definition of subspecies requires abrupt changes in morphology, humanity is clinal.

You are wrong. Look at Caribou for example, they have sub-species based almost entirely on where they are found. There is very very little difference, at all, save for antler mass.

Look at the sub-species of white rhino..identical....

JMHO....

Just to point out, modern day humans are already a subspecies, all of our sister subspecies having become extinct. So to reclassify all the separately identifiable people's (races) today would require a sub-subspecies classification or the reclassification of the modern human as a species and no longer a subspecies. That's a mouth full! LOL
