What's best for bantams whole maze or split maze ? Just asking as a mate can get me some

I would say cut/split mate. Its the same stuff, just chopped up, so it should be easier for the smaller birds to deal with as Ive seen some maize that would fill a banty after 3 kernels.

I use maize grits they love it some bigger bits left over off the smaller birds

To be fair you don't want to feed to much maize. I get a lot of people come to ours and say we feed mixed corn. It's wrong , If you feed too much maize it will make your birds fat, just give them whole wheat it's just a scratch feed before they roost up at night, maybe a little maize when it's cold but not to much. I know it's a different kettle of fish for the game birds, but your average bantam does not need a high fat diet.

You're right Stevo, kibbled Maize heats up birds. They love it but don't over do it.
