I bought the 150 cordless after reading the thread on here and I find it spot on ... very happy with it .....

Thought i would make a post while tucking in to a couple of sausage rolls. Anyway me and me lamping pal popped out last night to a couple of spots the first of our visits to a place that is normally

i had a lad come out with me and he brought the 150 cordless for me to have a look at and it seemed to be a ideal rabbit lamp. tight beem which i like and shone plenty far enough. the beam wasnt white

Its a different, whiter beam than the lightforce. I've tried them side by side and they both go the same 'distance'.....or at least they seem to do.

what is your most favored lamp ???????

I have used practically all that's ever been commercially available. But I guess there's never been a perfect lamp yet. There sure is a market for one.

I have used the Striker (170) more than any other i would imagine, but I also have always had to do a bit of DIY on the lamps as, out of the box, they are pretty crap. The wiring is a disgrace. The Deben lamps are at least as bad, if not worse., and I've never rated Deben stuff anyway if I'm honest.

As of late if I'm going out for a few runs then the Clu-lite PLR 500 is the prefered weapon of choice. Of course this lamp is not designed for the all-nighters, BUT for a few runs over the space of an hour or so , it's plenty good enough.

I had two evenings out last week with it, and didn't charge it up in between and it was still holding plenty of power.

BUT there is still space for the Ultimate lamp, if someone ever puts everything together and makes one.

I once got two lamps from the USA when I was a teenager, they were called 'Squeaker' lamps I think and they were very good. But that was many years ago now. They were coated in rubber and so totally silent.

my mate in work who is good with these things said it would be easy to stick a 3 way switch on and bring a wire out so you switch it to proper battery if needed regarding the plr 500

I've just go back from just over an hours solid lamping. The lamps faultless. You just don't know you've got it and the beam is as good as Lightforce.

Does it have the wee hole to clip a laynard on?

No it doesn't, but it has a thread so I'm sure you'd be able to thread an 'eye' onto it.

I just tried a slipknot and slipped it over head of lamp and pulled it tight between the back of head and top of handle if that makes sense lol

Lads, get the clu-lite rechargeable. £45. It's superb.

It is just so light you wouldn't beleive.

A true bright, white beam and a good spot,.

What's £45, take a gamble, you won't be disappointed. :victory:
