Recommended Posts

Was out to day with the dog and pup for a walk bumped Into two young lads about 20year old with a whippet lurcher and we got talking about dogs as you do ,they told me the had got some permission on a near by farm to ferret and lamp with the dog ,now they went up during the day to ferret and managed to get 25 rabbits now on the way back to there motor they was stopped by guy walking and he was not happy about what they were doing now the young lad said he kept his cool explained they had permission form the farmer etc the man took there car details then walked off to the near by cottages now turns out guy reported them for hare coursing . The police went round for a chat to them they visited farm told farm if they were caught hare coursing farmer could get in trouble to .up shot farmer doesn't want them back the antis win again eh !!! Feel sorry for the young lads

Some interesting thoughts. I think I must be soft, and no where near as 'hardcore' as the 'super hunters' on here. I quite like having permission, being able to turn up, park your motor somewhere sens

Thats a dirty trick......he probley see the lads dog chase a bolter... It's bad enough to get perm let alone some bloke being a twat to make you lose it... The bloke would pay for my loss...atb

just read all 4 pages of this, now this guy that stopped them they had 25 rabbits and presumably not 1 hare about their person? that alone would of been enough evidence to prove their point. Many post

Don't think I would want the perm back if the farmer chucked me of as easy as that ... I'd do something for my loss ...

Had a dog walker try it on down my way ... old bill And dog unit...pulled me and nighteyes over on the bridal way ..he said I'm stoping you for suspected hare coursing... he asked..do you have perm ..yes ..farmers name and number ..yes... He went up saw the farmer .. Came back ok lads you can go..farmer came driving past us ... Hes words .. They allway think you fucken hare coursing just because you have lurchers... carry on lads..lol.. All im saying is the farmer didn't have much trust in them lads to chuck them strate off like that....atb

real shame that, its best to say nothing to anybody it really is  don't mention you got permission , because like in this case it will come back on to the farmer , and most don't really want you there in the 1st place  ive learned over the 30 years messing about with lurchers , is say fook all . I had permission years ago where I used to live 100 acres , not massive but ok for few runs . I phone the farmer or tell I was going that night, because I had permission I go lamping say 10-11pm which thought was about right , no need to go 2-3am in morning like normal lol . anyway few house by some of the fields complained to the farmer about me lamping , 1st I was good couple fields away from the houses, and didn't go mad with the lamp. these prats prob bunny huggers just didn't want me killing rabbits, so farmer don't come on again , which its ground fair enough . but I still went on but my normal time 3am lol and got some good bags from there, and if I got any mixy rabbits I always leave them by this house I thought you like rabbits well have these feckers :D no mate say noting to anybody
