What Was Your First Working Dog

this was mine really was a super dog. Did it all and bright as a button. Couldn't fault him apart from his issues with the great dane next door.

he looks a proper little beast!

He wasn't scared of any thing that's for sure. He had a great working life at it all the time. Got a nasty stomach tumour in the end and I remember the day I made the last trip to the vet he was sitting on the passenger seat and I leaned over he gave me a big lick on the chops. Probably because I needed a wash lol but it was a sad day

I still think about the day I had to get gnasher put down and my stomach churns but it's the kindest thing we can ever do for them.

iTo be fair I dragged my brindle dog out longer than I might with other dogs , she was blind and deaf in the end, but otherwise happy, as long as she didn't end up more than 30yrds away on a walk, and she'd panic.

She was the most loyal dog I have owned, brilliant guard dog, if I put her in car NO ONE was getting in it besides me, the day she went I knew the end was near anyway. She was 15, she couldn't step into the van, so I lifted her in, she yelped, pissed herself on the seat and I had to take her in.

I burst out in tears when I got home, I don't normally cry but I couldn't stop it that time.
