jossa 966
I know a lad with a wheaton greyhound. Probably the best dog I have seen work tbhas on all quarry. A real big strong dog, good head on him, good coat etc. What an animal. Never seen a dog like it on the bigger deer. Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
My 8 month old pup has got bull and wheaten in her make up. Along with greyhound and a splash of collie. I've been accustomed to a lazy, chilled out deerhound blooded dog. Steady is an understatement. I've had the shock of my life with this f****r ? 3 Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
You could take either lurcher type to handle almost all this country can offer. Provided they are off the right gear, and lets make no bones about it, both types but especially bull bloods, are saturated with shite! In this climate, i'd rather put a heavy coated Wheaten in the back of a motor than a smooth coated bull. But if the chips are down, so to speak, only one of those breeds is worked the world over and has no equal... Quote Link to post
dogmad riley 1,343
Where do the working wheatons come from? (Genuine question) had one myself and she was a belter A good bull cross is hard to beat Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
Working Wheatens come from good yards... Quote Link to post

green dragon 701
I'd like to meet a proper wheaton x see it temperament iv seen a few bull xs and all have been steady trust worthy dogs I'm a bull x man my self but I wouldnt turn down any type of lurcher for me the bull x has no equal on its quarry I know that is a bold statement but it's just my opinion but for alround work my fave is the collie bull greyhound again just my opinion atb guys Quote Link to post
jossa 966
Thats my bull wheaton greyhound. Its an old photo dam was a half x bull grey sire was a half x wheaton grey. His temperament is ideal no problem with other dogs etc. But the drive in him is 2nd to none, only thing I would of preferred is a good thick jacket on him. 7 Quote Link to post
