Wheaten Vs Bull

We all know how well the bull and wheaton work and what there jobs are so I don't want this to turn into a whos better than the other. I would like to know how do there temperaments and training compare iv allways got on bulls and xs but never met a Wheaton so I'd like to here your opinions cheers guys

my mate has a wheaton x its really plastid when it comes to anything bar reds its a lovey dog live to hand on the old bunnys spot on strong steady dog.

Sound like a good dog I was have a conversation with my mate who's uncle had 2 years ago and he tells me they where the fury devil very unpredictable with other dogs they seemed fine and no warning the would attack but I said that could happen with and dog if not brought up with other dogs atb mate

Are the wheaten terriers not a bit like the deerhounds thin on the ground not starting an argument or that but you hear some people say they have a wheaten lurcher and there only 1/8 wheaten in it I no of only one lad with a genuine wheaten lurcher its a second cross there was only two left out of the litter he told me as the rest did make grade and unfortunately there two dog

I've had both in my kennels & I've never had a fighter as long as you socialise um from pups,bring um up the right way & let um know who's boss they the same as any other x... a wheatenx has a better coat & feet...bullx better heads & jaw power but when crossed together wheatenbullgrey now that's what prefer best of both worlds atb cbx

My mate has a wheaten cross and he's unpredictable although he won't admit but I do like the look of them and wouldn't turn my nose up at one as I believe it's down to him the owner

I don't no this lad well that has the wheaten lurcher I see him a about every now and then but last time I was talking to him he was telling me that one of them is very unpredictable more so after it had it first fox but settle's down a bit after that and the more work ya give him the better he gets it only what I've been told as I have never seen one work atb bob

i had 1 loved other dogs,ate 1 every time he seen them,lol.no serious but he was dead on in the car travelling out hunting but once round a dig he had to be chained till he was needed,easy hyped up once ya broke through and he heard the commotion he went mental lol,,good cross with a grew bitch for that game,

I'd imagine it would be quite hard to find a proper wheaton x iv done a bit of reading on here about them and a lot of people are saying there unpredictable with other dogs but I'd imagine if worked anuf and metally stimulated they should be fine atb

I have a wheaten x bull bitch 5years old father was 3/4 wheaten/grey mother 5/8 3/8 bull fast enough,a very good bitch lamp,round a hole,bushing prey drive is unbelievable,but brings rabbits back live to hand,but very hard bitten on other things, very good nose on her and smash through anything to get to its pray,

I think with any. Breed of lurcher that are work driven if ya don't give them what they need and want you'll have problems with built-up energy and Notting to do with it. Any dog could turn stupid if that a little terriers or a big wheaten or bull lurcher

Very true lurchers terriers that don't get the right graft become like time bombs,work them often as possible

My brother arrived home 2 year ago with a 3/4 collie 1/4 hound with the idea of working it but never did i used to bring him out on the lamp if I had time to now he would never bite anyone or anything like that he's just so fecking hyper you'd have to it to believe all he need or needed was work and lots of it but I really didn't have time to when he dog need time its waste of what could have been a good dog its a pity that my dad or brother don't have interest in working lurchers its there for life with a good home tho

There are plenty of genuine wheaten greyhounds about, Keeping them tight and in small circles is what it's about, ATB
