NEWKID 27,163
So, I flew over to London last week to take a bloke out for lunch on a bit of business, so I asks him where he want to go and I will get it booked. He said he fancied the Sky Garden in that Walkie Talkie building so I says right oh......I had a look at the menu online, main course 40 or 50 sovs....all normal stuff, then something in the starters caught my eye......a f***ing boiled egg at £13 a pop !! Now I'm sorry but I couldn't bring myself to go anywhere that has the bare faced cheek to charge £13 for a boiled f***ing egg !! There may be a slight chance if it was my old woman who has given me 4 kids and who I sleep with every night but that's it !! So I phones him and says you can f**k off, pick somewhere else.......13 sovs for a boiled egg indeed !! Lol We took the Mrs old man out for a slap up at Rick Steins Fish Restaurant. For his 70th, just about 10 years back. For his starter he had Mediterranean Mackeral - a grilled joey with the head and tail cut off and a dollop of Salsa on top. £10.50 ffs, I had a freezer full Cheers, D. Now I know that a lie!! A freezer full!! Bullshit, I've seen your fishing abilities lol..

mushroom 12,998
Mate fine dining costs and cnuts WILL jump on the bandwagon overcharging etc. I really don't mind paying good money for good food/service etc though. I have a really nice restaurant booked here in a couple of weeks as a present for two friends who got married. I don't expect it to be any less than 150 each. But fuuck me its worth it for a one off

walshie 2,804
Posh shops don't normally have prices in the window. Posh restaurants should just let it be a surprise when the bill arrives.

dare 1,103
I bet the company your amongst when paying 13quid for a boiled egg is better than the westherspoons though lol. If i ever hear anything about business in london i expect ive been approached by a brass. Londons full of skirt though everyone seems to want to dress up like their loaded. I am all for looking good but wear whar your comfortable in. Went into a few places last night and hadnt for years other than raving. Got more confident in my old age i guess and that does wonders for the fanny. Deffo gonna be there again before christmas.
