belucky 742
hi , I need a good broad spectrum weed killer to do everything growing through the gravel on my drive , all types of grasses and weeds , any suggestions ?
Giro 2,648
Round up.. If it's just the driveway and you want to clean it up at same time as killing weeds, I'd recommend hyperclorite. I've probly spelt it wrong. Will fetch stone up like new..
The one 8,457
I normally get enough to spray between the slabs in the garden from the gardeners at work this year instead of asking I bought a tub of roundup from a big store , it was crap took ages to work and the weds came back . you need something like round up or glyphosate to kill the weeds but you also need something in there to seal the ground or more weeds will germinate
Bosun11 537
SBK bout the best you can buy over the counter. Buy the concentrate and mix it yourself and ot should level most things.
IshotRogerRabbit 46
Go onto ebay and look up Glyphosate. It comes in a 5 litre drum and sells at around £28 delivered. Don't buy any commercial crap from B&Q as this stuff is potent in very small doses. I mix 100 ml with 5 litres (which is only 20 ml per litre so last years) of water and spray it. I will be reducing the dose next time as it kills everything stone dead. Apparently it's industrial strength and is used by the farmers on large crop fields before planting
Giro 2,648
Round up is glyphosate.. I'd agree don't buy cheap.. I have and the stuff you get in BnM or home bargin is crap. .

IshotRogerRabbit 46
Round up is glyphosate.. I'd agree don't buy cheap.. I have and the stuff you get in BnM or home bargin is crap. . It is mate but I'm not sure if it's the same strength as the stuff I was referring to...maybe wrong though :-)
IshotRogerRabbit 46
Just checked...it was Gallup 360 that I bought. Now at £
Giro 2,648
Not sure mate.. Probably is watered down.. I don't think the hyperclorite is as strong as it used to be either ..
ryaldinhio 4,480
I will second glysophate I got mine from local garden centre but had to fill in a form to get it, not meant to use it on allotments or leased land etc. quality stuff though.
