Luckatme85 5
Just a quick question which may have been answered before but I haven't found it so thought I'd ask. I have a shed in which I keep my ferrets the shed itself is 4'x10' and 8' high. I have 2 jills and 2 hobs all around the same age which are doing well in my opinion. They all play well together. Can be handled with ease and are left open for around 2 hours each day when the sun moves round and doesn't shine in their shed. (I read somewhere too much sun can kill ferrets) whether that true or not I would rather be safe! So my question is how many can you keep safely in what space? I am in the process of fitting the shed out with a upper level making it half the height but same floor space. This is not so they can run up and down its for when my jills are pregnant so they can be separated when males have done their job. Obviously as soon as jills are pregnant they will be separated from each other and the hobs until after the kits are ready to leave mum. Will my 2 jills be ok with males and vice versa after having kits and re introducing to the normal home? Just want to know in good time so I can prepare. Thanks in advance Lee atb and happy hunting.
