Good advice Bosun. I always use this metaphor and don't apologize for using it again.   If you got a gallon of ice cream and put one tea spoon of shit in it, stirred it all around, what have you got

First pick the right parents then I like a bold confident pup but not aggressive

Buckle up boys .

9 times out of 10 YOU KNOW the pup that catches your eye more but to many people over think things. If its an even litter and if your drawn to the one with the waggiest tail then pick that one, because it really dont matter..!

THE most important thing is that when you've made your choice, never be swayed by the others, if or when you see em, better still, try not to see em!

Think of yours as the best in the litter, for whatever reason you chose it for and put all your effort into it. Stick to that and you'll have faith in your choice.

Nowt see's more good pups change hands than the green eyed monster... ;)

14 years ago I bred a litter of 7 and after I picked my pup I was giving 5 to friends and said I'd keep the last one of them as my 2nd pup.

The lads came to look at the litter and straight away one of the lads stood on one of the pups toes and this pup sat in the corner crying the whole time the lads were there. As a result she was the pup that I was left with.

She's Dixie, now 14, living in the house enjoying retirement and what I wouldn't give to be able to turn the clock back 10 or 12 years.

She was NOT the pick of the litter

Chocolate teapot was called that after taking him out once with an experienced guy off here it was my first ever experience of going out and was very green and took to much heed of what the experienced guy said I think how can you judge a dog on one trip the bloke who now owns him let someone else use him on a bitch and as I've taken him out and dug him his owner told me and said I could have his pick of the litter for free. And the guy who owns the bitch is a friend of mine so my pick is a small red bitch

Lee can I just say you asked me to go out and give you an honest opinion on a dog that you was gonna buy on trial for £250 that in your words was supposed to be the nuts !!

We took the dog out and he was going in a few yards and baying and then coming out . Now I was expecting a good dog so I told you that the dog wouldn't be what I would buy as he was to big for Kent and I didn't like him baying up then coming out , I stand by that . Also if you can remember out the back of the camp when the dog was trying to get into a post hole I asked you what you gonna do are you gonna preserve ? You said no I'm not . Now for my best intentions I didn't want you to get tucked up that's all now you come on here saying you took to much notice of me lol . I know you've dug the dog twice and you're gonna have a pup out of him so all I can say is I wish you good luck !
