How To Carry Rabbit Snares.

Recommended Posts

Same way as 'the one' get group of fives or tens and put pegs back through wire and carry on wrist or I have a back pack with spare wires, pegs etc in if I have lots to carry. If you do them this way they are easy to count in and count out aswell.

I use a length of fence wire bent in a circle with the ends bent to make two hooks, circumference is between 9 and 12 inches, hang up in the motor, or on hooks in the shed, all I do is undo the hook at either end to remove a wire.

Exactly! I put 25 on each ring, count them out, count them in, 25 out, break a twig in the hedge or bailer twine on the fence, eazy peezy.

I just put two nails up just shorter than the length of brush shaft and hang them from that and lay them flat in the motor and when I've laid fifty just drop the brush shaft and I know if I don't pick up fifty I only have to go back and look in that bit of land with fence snares I just stick a bit of weed in the wire at the next fence post same with when the snare line runs out

How to carry them?? Peg snares on your arm, one arm through the snare loops carrying them, the other to set them. use a bit of string or twine to hang them up when storing them, I normally carry them in bundles of 25, take one off set, move on.

When not in use or in the motor stored like this,

Woodgas shed.
