NEWKID 27,278 Posted September 28, 2015 Report Share Posted September 28, 2015 A trip to look a job last week resulting in 350 acres of new permission, result!..A call to Geth and it was set, no time like the present so bright and early (even for the soldier boy lol).. we were away yesterday morning, all loaded up and away for 6-30 we were on the farm 15 mins later. With the sun just rising and dew on the ground it was a cracking morning to be out, we had the new pup with us for her first outing. It was more of a walk around with the ferrets than a serious trip, we took a few stop nets and a bag of purse nets with a view to netting a bit and bolting to the dogs. Geths dog Blue has come on real well and is turning into a nice steady dog, I took my little bitch and she's always steady.... then we had crocodile jaws and the pup!! Cue headlong runs into the stop nets, biting my ears as I'm laying purse nets and all the other bits that come with a 4 month pups first trip lol... to be fair as the day went on she calmed a bit and even started jumping the stop nets (there is hope for her yet lol).. It was never gonna be a morning for numbers, but we bolted a few and caught 2, we had a decent walk around and once the cover dies back there'll be a lot to get on this bit.. I'm waiting for the moon to piss off, then get a few nights on the lamp up there... Geth was photographer for the day... eat your heart out Sean lol The new recruit with the old timer lol..
