Prack, For The Para,s

Recommended Posts

My son failed the 3 day prack test for the para,s ,well its just 3 days of hell but he failed it

so he picked him self up and started training , running up and down the sand dunes with a 40 pound pack on his back

Phoned up his case worker and she told him he could go for the para heavy artillery and heavy machine gun if he wanted based on the times he was running at catterick garrison

So he signed up as a para in the heavy artillery

he is away in a few months to start training as heavy artillery then he is away to p company to

start para training his running time at catterick is 9,18 on the para track

proud of him, who me

feck yer to right i am

Cheers lads he has work,d so hard for this and when he failed i felt for him 18 went in and only four passed he failed by 1 minute .

he was going to join the fusiliers but when he phoned his case worker she told him about 7para and heavy artillery ,and heavy machine gun so he jumped at it if you no what i mean lol

he had the choice of the commandos or 7para

he opted for the 7 para

For now any way iv got a feeling he will give it another go once in

thanks for all your support and comments

Well done to him! Nothing like the scale of what your son has done, but mine has just passed his selection for the Army Reserves. It's so nice to see kids wanting to give to this country rather than just take from it.

You must be so proud. And rightly so. :clapper:

He did well getting as far as he did and good on him for staying on with the paras.

It's a real strength of character that he didn't jack it in after not getting the prac especially at his age, he saw options and solutions instead of obstacles. You can't teach that or learn it. A boy to be proud of.

He'll get it 2nd time round when he goes for it.
